There is not enough time in the day to achieve our goals. Are we too goal oriented?

One can argue that life is a balance of everything. Too many goals are bad, and too little goals are not good either.  I believe the trick to life is, to have very clear goals and put our focus on the journey/process towards those goals. Too many of us are so goal oriented that we are obsessed with our goals, and forget to enjoy the process. Hence we become overwhelmed, and feel that there is not enough time in the day to achieve all of our goals. In essence, I believe that "Life is a journey, not destination".  Enjoy the process more perhaps.

If we adopt this philosophy or mindset, we will realise that we can enjoy the process more, be more in the flow, or "the zone", and ironically, get to our destination faster, and with a little less effort.

So next time we get overwhelmed when trying to reach our goals, remind ourself that, "Life is a journey, not destination."  Still have our goals in sight but use it for "aiming" only.  Focus on the process and "smell the roses" more.

It's a mindset that may not resonate with all personalities, but it is definitely worthwhile considering.
